The promise.
Voxit is private. Your data is yours. We never train on it. We never sell it. You can export it or delete it any time.
Where your data lives.
Voxit is a cloud-based application. That doesn't mean public — it means we host your data so it's safe, backed up, and ready to follow you to your phone, your iPad, or anywhere else you want to use Voxit. Everything is encrypted at rest and in transit.
What we store.
- Your account (email, authentication)
- Your conversations with Voxit
- Your memories and "About You" profile
- Your agents, their schedules, and the results of their runs
- Files, projects, and context you upload or point Voxit at
- Beta application info (name, email, what you do) when you apply for access
What we don't store.
- Your microphone audio. Transcribed locally on your Mac via Whisper, then discarded. If local Whisper isn't available, audio is sent to a transcription provider for the request only — never retained by us.
- Your screen captures. Sent directly to the AI provider for the question you asked. Never stored on our servers.
- Your browser cookies and login sessions. Stored locally in your Voxit app on your Mac. We never see them.
- Your API keys. If you bring your own keys for any service, they're encrypted in your macOS Keychain. We never receive them.
What we send to AI providers.
To answer your questions, Voxit sends queries to AI providers — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Perplexity. The request includes your message, relevant memories, and your profile so the response is grounded in your context. We don't send your entire data bank with every request.
Where the provider offers it, we use settings that prevent your data from being used to train their models.

- Read your conversations unless you ask us to (for example, when troubleshooting an issue you report)
- Use your screen captures for anything except answering the question you asked

Security.
Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Sensitive credentials (API keys, OAuth tokens) are encrypted via macOS Keychain through Electron's safeStorage API. The Voxit application is code-signed and notarized by Apple. All network communication uses HTTPS / TLS.
Children.
Voxit isn't intended for users under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes.
We may update this page. The date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be communicated by email and inside the app.
