What We Collect

Voxit is a desktop application. Your data stays on your computer.

• API Keys: Stored locally on your Mac, encrypted via macOS Keychain. Never sent to our servers.
• Conversations: Stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB. Never uploaded.
• Projects and Memories: Stored locally in IndexedDB. Never uploaded.
• Settings: Stored locally via Electron Store. Never uploaded.

What We Send to Third Parties

Voxit sends your voice and text queries to the AI providers YOU configure:

• Anthropic (Claude): Your text queries for AI responses
• OpenAI: Your voice audio for transcription (Whisper) and text for speech generation (TTS)
• Google: Calendar and Gmail data if you connect your Google account
• Other integrations: Data sent only to services you explicitly connect (Slack, GitHub, Notion, Linear, etc.)

We do not intercept, store, or proxy any of these API calls. They go directly from your computer to the provider.

License Validation

If you have a Pro or Team subscription, Voxit periodically sends your license key to our server to verify it is valid. This request contains only the license key, no personal data or usage information.

Analytics (Opt-In)

Voxit includes optional, anonymous analytics that is disabled by default. If you enable it in Settings, we collect:

• Feature usage counts (number of voice queries, tool calls)
• Error rates (aggregated, no personal data)
• App version and OS version

We never collect: conversation content, API keys, file contents, screen captures, or personal information.

Screen Capture

When Screen Vision is enabled, Voxit takes screenshots of your screen to provide visual assistance. These screenshots are:

• Processed in memory only
• Sent to Anthropic's API for analysis (same as any other query)
• Never stored on disk or uploaded to our servers
• Discarded immediately after processing

You can disable Screen Vision in Settings at any time.

Your Rights

• Export: All your data is stored locally. You can find it in ~/Library/Application Support/Voxit/
• Delete: Use "Clear All Data" in Settings to delete everything, or simply uninstall the app
• Opt Out: Analytics is opt-in. Screen Vision can be disabled. All integrations are optional.
